Working with a board
Agree on the standard before the first visit.
Identify the areas included in the agreement and the standard expected at entries, amenity spaces, and less visible boundaries. Discuss visit timing, access, irrigation observation, seasonal tasks, and how concerns from residents will be reported. Different parts of a community may need different levels of attention.
Separate routine maintenance from repairs, replacement planting, and larger improvements. Agree on who can approve additional work, whether that is the board, a committee, or the property manager, and how recommendations are documented. A shared record of priorities helps prevent competing requests and makes budget discussions more useful.
Maintenance customers can review visit history, invoices, task requests, and completed work in the custom GFG dashboard, which gives boards and managers one record of what the landscape needs and what has been done.
