Geared for Growing has shaped Sonoma County landscapes since 1983. What began with founder Richard Plaxco grew into an award-winning landscape company known for thoughtful design, skilled construction, and gardens cared for over the long term.

In 2025, Megan and Lee Mokri became the next stewards of Geared for Growing. The full team stayed on, preserving the practical knowledge and long-standing relationships behind the work. Richard continues to collaborate with the company on larger custom estate designs.
Megan and Lee bring a builder's mindset from 11 years founding and growing a technology company: make complex work feel clear, communicate early, and create systems that serve both clients and the team doing the work.
